Tuesday, February 25

Our morning work task today was:
Would you use a series of points (discrete data) or a line graph (continuous data) to display each set of data?  Explain your choices.

A) the number of goals scored by the Calgary Flames each week during the 2018-2019 season
B) the temperature of a cup of boiling water as it cools
C) the mass of a puppy in its first year
D) the distance traveled by a cross-country skier as she completes the course

We completed the page in our creative journals on the Iroquois.

We continued with our newspapers and many students were printing today.  We are looking forward to sharing them with you at our learning celebration on Thursday.

Reminders:
  • Thank you to those that have made their payment for ODS.  If you have not yet done so, please visit my CBE account to make your payment as we need to forward the funds to Camp Chief Hector soon.
  • Pink Shirt Day is tomorrow!
  • Yearbook orders accepted until the end of February.
  • Grade 6 Learning Celebration this Thursday, February 27 from 5:30 - 7. This is an open house style event, so you do not need to come right at 5:30.  In order to give students time to share their learning with you, please plan to arrive no later than 6:30.
  • Our next special lunch date is Thursday, March 12.  As we will be at Outdoor School on that date, please log on to the Healthy Hunger website and cancel your order.
