Thursday, January 16

Our day started with the multiples and factors work we have been doing.  We then began to work on the following problem.

I am the fewest number of gorillas that meets the following conditions.  When grouped by twos, by threes, or by fours, there is one left over.  When grouped by fives, there are none left over.  What number am I?

Students are working at explaining their math thinking in writing.  Some completed this task and moved on to another one.

Our morning finished with music and gym.

This afternoon we continued our planet research and had buddies with Miss Aebli as Ms. Steeves was at an appointment.
